Who is Onanome?

Onome Agustine known as ~ ONANOME ~ is a soul & Afro beat Artist, Vocalist and Songwriter who first captured the public’s eye as a vocalist in her first single titled RUNAWAY in 2018. She later released another single, ( dance all track ) titled SWEET THINGS on February 14th 2019. ONANOME has also been featured in several songs where she has proven that singing is not just an ability, it is innate as she flows swimmingly on every instrumental produced by DOPENESS,Featuring Rap Artist Mauricester. She also collaborated on the TRIBUTE song to Late Nigerian Producer “DAN FOSTER '' where she featured alongside several talented Nigerian Artists.



Early Life

ONANOME was born on 25th of April in Benin City Nigeria. She is the last born of a family of three. ONANOME's parents both originated from Delta State which makes her a full blood Deltan. She started her senior secondary school at Ogbe secondary School in Warri Delta State. As a young girl, ONANOME  found music exciting and sang her way to school almost every day. Music to ONAONOME  is more than just a means of livelihood, it has been the source of life itself as she feels elated and travels dimensions when she sings. ONANOME graduated from OSISATECH POLYTECHNIC ENUGU where she studied Mass Communication.




Career. 

ONANOME has been active on the music scene for a while now, the dynamic vocalist has spent a few years honing her talent, and has finally registered her own life band called DSUPREME BAND.

In 2014 ѕhe got herself a spot as a background vocalist for the MTN PROJECT FAME WEST AFRICA. The trek led to her taking up roles as a backup vocalist for admirable Musicians such as "DAREY AT ALADE" and well known musical bands, like the Lagos based musical bandѕ “Adrenaline entertainment”, “Salt Of The Earth Band” and the popularly known “Eboni Band”. 

In 2018 she was featured in a Broadway Stage Musical Named "KAKADUTHEMUSICAL" where she performed as the lead vocalist at the (WEF)World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. And recently in South Africa at the Nelson Mandela Theatre Jo’burg.

ONANOME’s talent as a songwriter, soul, Afro beat and Vocalist began to bud in Lagos Nigeria, out of which her freshman single arose – ‘Runaway’.  She has since produced several others.

In 2020 ONANOME was featured in a song titled BADMAN where she flaunts her aptitude towards music.

In 2018 she released her second single titled SWEET THINGS.

In 2020 she was featured in a tribute song to Late Nigerian producer DAN FOSTER.

ONANOME thrills the crowd with charisma and vocal bravado,… infusing R&B, soul, and gospel into traditional reggae grooves,…spreading peace through voice.

ONANOME’s live performance earned her an opportunity to  perform at the (WEF)World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. And recently in South Africa at the Nelson Mandela Theatre Jo’burg.
