Feminism Equals Balance







Writing from the African and Nigerian recent society perspective, Feminism is nothing but a bais form of concealing ladies impropriety. It is disturbing to still have such a mindset about feminism, despite the rapid advancement in the societal school of thought. The interesting part of all this is, it has been women against women. 

Over the years, it has always been men advocating against the movement, which I believe, have been a lack of knowledge on why feminism was established in the first place. From a recent statistic, most men have begun to understand and support the movement. Hallelujah!!!

It sounds hilarious when I overhear people say feminist are bitter unmarried women who have no hopes of finding a man. First and foremost feminism has nothing to do with marital status. It has nothing to do with your relationship status either. Feminism is the same thing as Activism. It is a race for peace and harmony. Picture this, when a man and a woman understands and respects each other, with no party feeling inferior, what happens? Harmony becomes the order of the day. That is what feminism is about, equality between genders with no discrimination. However this is not limited to mutual or intimate relationships.

And by the way, Feminism is not just channel around relationships, i notice most dissatisfactory feminism related events have always been surrounded around intimate situationship. Women this women that. I don't want to sound biased but it's irritating.



I really can not give a specific date on when Feminism started, but to my knowledge and from my research, in the late nineteenth and early centuries, the first wave of feminism took place, emerging out of an environment of urban industrialism and liberal,socialist politics.

It was majorly established for social, economics, and political equality of the sexes. Most of the ladies you see on social media today talking derogatory about feminist are just ignorant and lazy to learn, when you speak about things you know nothing about, and just dwelling your knowledge based on what you were told or heard is technically an act of chasing clout.

What they don't know is that feminism has paved the way for women in so many areas in society, and makes it easy to navigate the world as a woman, technically they owe their freedom of expression to feminist.

Like it or not feminism has an importance in society. However , it has played a major role in bringing balance to our society all over the world. 

Feminism is the reason we have female prominent leaders in the world today, making a great impact in our society. What do you think would have become of the girl child without feminism activists? When I see ladies talk derogatory on this matter, I don't blame them, I blame the extremists who have taken advantage of the movement for their selfish interest for financial and political gain. No doubt a lot of women in our society today have seen feminism as a shield to hide their impropriety with no shame, changing the perspective of the feeble minded youth out there who only take pride in jumping on society bandwagon. To be honest only an illiterate or air headed individual with low IQ dwells on what they were told with no proper research, if it was true or false. 

For clarification on the gender war saga, feminism never encourages disrespecting your man, or rules out submission, respect is given to whom it is due to. Men are shields by default, as the shield of the family you dont beg for respect you earn it. As a matter of fact, submission is not demanded, it comes naturally. The moment you have to beg for respect or submission from a woman, you should automatically know you are not playing your role correctly as a man. This is a bitter truth no man wants to admit. No matter the position of a woman who is emotional and mentally stable, when a man acts like the man he is, he is being treated as one. The moment there is no sense of equality in a relationship, it loses its balance. To be treated as a queen or king you have to reciprocate the energy.

Feminist know their rights in society as well as in a relationship, you don't expect a woman to keep quiet when she is being manipulated or assaulted by a man all the time. Apparently feminism is a fight for balance. 

However, I believe in due time feminism will be seen as a reputation. There has always been this weird sense of impression when you tell someone you are a feminist, it's almost like a complete turn off to some persons. Most of the time I feel it comes from a place of inferiority complex. Be proud of who you identify as anytime. Being a feminist will never reduce your chance of attaining great height in society.

Feminism is a societal responsibility, it's a service to humanity. An act of making a difference and bringing balance to our community.
